The Women's Group

What is this mystical, wonderful group all about?

It is an open group of women, not all of whom are Unitarian Universalists, that meets once a month, usually on the 2nd Friday evening of the month from 19:30 to 22:30- 23:00.

This group is for all ages and the purpose is to have a sacred place where we can be together in peace to praise our Earth Mother. If this sounds like paganism, that is definitely part of the evening, but not all. We use Native American rituals, as well as various other Earth-based rituals. Music and chanting is frequently a part of our evenings. We also have a structured time to share with one another and afterwards we have a vegetarian potluck with yummy desserts as well as more informal time just to be together. We have a definite theme for each evening.

Our women’s group has been running for more than 10 years and is a spin-off of the original Unitarian Universalist curriculums which we used for our first 2 years. We ordered our first official curriculum from Boston’s UU headquarters – Rise Up and Call her Name.
Now we have a team of coordinators who organize our evenings.

We welcome you share an evening to see if this is something for you.

Christina Tomlow-de Muinck Keizer (030 288-7657) or Cindy Briggs (020-671 9801) can give you more information.
